In December 2018, AMA Victoria made more profits for its members through corporate trading. The new agreement provided the following: THE AMA Victoria DiT Subdivision is the leading group representing the interests of all physicians in training in Victoria. The previous agreement included shared responsibility for the medical care budget. Some medical payments have been put at risk subject to continued available expenses. Once the proposed agreements have been developed, the Department of Health and Human Services will present the proposed agreements for final government approval before a worker vote is held in accordance with the Fair Work Act.

Any changes to the current rules will be implemented as soon as possible. The contracting parties to this agreement agree to meet as soon as possible in order to reach a final agreement by 12 January 2018.
